The weekly report of the Italian National Association for Land Reclamation reports that the current situation sees Italy divided in two.
In the North the country is busy making the water flow quickly into the sea before African heat waves cause the sudden melting of the large mass of snow still present on the Alpine peaks, while in the South (with worrying offshoots in the Centre) it has almost no fresh water available for living, producing and welcoming tourists. Rain is not expected soon in the South, where a further increase in both air and sea temperatures is expected, while the northern regions will continue to be affected by downpour disturbances.
